Direct. Primary. Care.

Accessible. Patient-Centered. Comprehensive. Transparent.

Empowered Health Direct Primary Care (DPC) restores the direct patient-physician relationship and is built on a foundation of respect for each individual and their unique health care journey. We emphasize relationships, education, and shared medical decision-making.

At Empowered Health, we firmly believe that a membership-based model that provides unlimited, direct access to your physician and healthcare team through various communication channels (in-person visits, telemedicine, asynchronous messaging) leads to enhanced health and well-being. This model embodies true preventative care, moving beyond the traditional “sick” care approach.

Our members have access to timely appointments, enabling prompt resolution of issues when necessary. We strive to resolve issues promptly to prevent complications that are common in the regular healthcare system, where appointments with a doctor familiar with your health history may be weeks or even months away.

Frank Aliganga, MD

I am a double-boarded physician and specialize in both Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. I had the privilege of learning and training in Los Angeles, and learned to provide care to people from all walks of life. I earned my medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Charles Drew University School of Medicine. Afterwards, I completed a Family Medicine Residency and a Community Medicine Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. Since training, I have worked in diverse healthcare settings, ranging from resource-constrained to well-resourced environments. I have provided care at a number of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Los Angeles, and at large tertiary care institutions like Kaiser Permanente and Cooper University Hospital.

I thrive on empowering others and have previously served as clinical teaching faculty at Charles Drew University School of Medicine, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, and the Cooper University Family Medicine Residency Program. Currently, I serve on the Executive Board of the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians.

I have to been to a lot of places and most places I notice the different treatment between the ones who have private insurance and me ( I have state insurance) but I have been treated with the utmost respect care and dignity! It makes me feel like they really care and that makes me feel comfortable enough to trust them with my life I am grateful for everyone that has helped me or talked to me during my times there. Please keep up the good work! I am so happy I found you...

I love Dr. Aliganga and this office. The staff is so pleasant and caring.Dr. Aliganga is one of the most passionate and caring primary care providers I've had. He's so knowledgeable, takes the time to listen and explain everything so well. He always gives great advice and will give alternative treatments to chose from... I've switched my family over to Dr. Aliganga from our previous PCP. We are very happy to have Dr. Aliganga as our PCP.

Dr. Aliganga has an excellent "bedside manner". He truly is a partner in my health care management. He actively listens and is considerate of my opinions. I trust Dr. Aliganga to care for me AND my husband.

Each visit I am thrilled by the attitude and kindness of Dr Aliganga. He takes time to listen, explain and connect...He is [probably] the best family practice doctor I have had and I'm 64 years old. I like my past doctor but Dr Aliganga is exceptional.

Dr. A is so easy to talk to about any and all issues. He treats you with respect. Does not speak down to you. He really listened..

Dr A was a fantastic doctor. He was able to answer any concerns on lab work and condition. He was able to quickly point out any conditions or Issues and gave me great follow tasks to ensure that I will be going to the right direction. I would recommend him as a great doctor for any of my family and friends. He was able to set me right at ease, and although I have an uphill battle to climb for my condition I am glad he is on my care team to help guide the way.

Save your spot in my small patient panel by pre-enrolling now...

To ensure my availability and provide the highest quality care to my patients, I have decided to limit the number of individuals on my panel.
